Seiko 5 Automatic 6119-7460 November 1972

This is a watch that has been in my own collection for a very long time.  It was a very early restoration which included refinishing the bracelet and case, it was also the first birth year watch for me of 1972 (yes I am that old!)
So why would I sell it?  Purely because the collection has got so big and I am simply not wearing this one at all, so despite the nostalgia of it been some early work I feel it needs to be worn and enjoyed so am passing it on to one of you lucky people.

I have recently serviced this watch, just a few weeks ago now so its all good to go and running well within my set tolerances. (see timegrapher video in this listing) 
New gaskets have also been fitted to best protect this watch from accidents.  Just refrain from bathing or showering with it on. 
Inside is a 6119 movement which is one of my favourites. They are ultra reliable, accurate and rugged.  It does not offer any hacking or hand winding so it will only get its wind from wearing it, so give it a shake in a morning to wake it up and it will be good to go.

Dial is stunning blue fade and to be fair I have never seen another one of these in all the years I have bought and sold Seiko.  There is a mark on the dial near the centre which you can see in the photos and I also point it out in the watch review video in the listing here.
Indices are really nice and catch your eye at every opportunity. 

I fitted a new glass back in 2017, despite wearing it over the years I cant see any noticeable scratches. 

Original bracelet still on the watch and needs to be as the lug width is 10mm so nothing but the original will fit. I have a 7. 1/4" wrist and the clasp on this one is on the second from last hole on the ladder.
Its a stunning watch, it will be missed but its making room for more!
