Here is a superb example of a Seiko 7625 from December 1964. Given its age this one has bore the test of time much better than I am currently and the watch is 8 years older than me! 
Its a larger watch for the era with the case being 37mm so it will suit most peoples wrist fine.  

The dial is lovely but there is some patina that you don't really see but for transparency there are some small dots peppered over it in places which are just age.  When on the wrist you cant see any of this.  That is however, the only thing that time has effected. 
Classic watch dial with a radial finish, baton indices and sword hands.  A lovely chapter ring with minute markers frames the dial. A date window at 3 to complete the look.  Please note the 7625 does not offer quickset to date so setting has to be done by winding the hands until you reach the desired date.
Crystal is acrylic and I have installed a new one to refresh the watch for use. I have lightly polished the case and bezel just to bring back the shine.  The beads of rice bracelet sets it off nicely.  Not sure if its original or not, the clasp is not signed but I don't think they were back then.  Also please note the bracelet is short. My wrist is 7" and I can just get it on, if your wrists are bigger then it will need an extender or replaced with a leather strap to suit. 

I have given the movement as complete service and she is now running perfectly. Tested on my watch winder it keeps time well.  I have movement strip down photos of this watch so if you are the buyer and you want these just let me know and I can email them over. 

This is a gorgeous watch that you will be pleased to wear for any occasion, also makes a really good birth year watch

The first thing I did was change the band

The first thing I did was change the band. Much too big, but I have small wrists. I then set the watch by WWV, then waited. And waited. And waited! It was nearly two weeks before the time error was big enough to bother me! Never had a watch this accurate before. The watch looks and feels good on the wristsnd it’s nice to know it’s “made in America”
