Here is a nicely restored honest Citizen automatic watch. This one looked very unassuming at first but once I removed the movement from the case and saw this beautiful dial I knew it was worth saving so have carefully restored this one for you to enjoy for years to come.

I have stripped, inspected and serviced the movement and it is now running perfectly (see timegrapher video) This is an 8210A movement which is an automatic movement with the addition of hand winding. These were introduced in 1975 so given the caseback reference I date this at 1983 (not 1973 as mentioned in the video in this listing) This shares most of its design and assembly with the modern Miyota 8 series movements.  I find this impressive that 50 years on this movement design is still being used and clearly must be robust and reliable.
Dial has a nice radial pattern which is classic and plays with the light to give interest and not hamper with actually reading the time.  Batton hands and indices finish the look with black pin striping.

Watch has a date window which can be quickset in the first position on the crown.

New crown and caseback gaskets have been fitted but as a vintage watch I would not recommend swimming or bathing.

New acrylic crystal has been fitted in keeping with the original. The advantage of acrylic is that if you scratch it you can easily polish them out using products like Polywatch.

Case was thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished to bring back its shine.

To complete the look I have fitted on this stainless steel bracelet.  I think it looks good and suits the watch.  For honesty the end links are slightly rounded in their design and stick up a little bit on the case, please see the watch in hand video where I show this.  Watch also looks good on a strap so I have posted some pictures of this in this listing.  If you prefer the strap to the bracelet please advise after purchasing and I can swap it over.

I have also included some photos of the watch before any work and the movement as I disassembled this. I can also email you all these photos if you would like them,
