Here is your chance to own a stunning Citizen Tuning fork watch! I have painstakingly restored this one back to its former glory and serviced the movement for trouble free usage. If you are into watches then a tuning fork is a fantastic addition to anyone's collection.
The movement in this is basically a Bulova Accutron 218 movement made under licence by Citizen. The movement is exactly the same other than the bridge plate proudly stating Citizen.  There is a small stamp on the mainplate that says Bulova Licence (see photo)
I have stripped the movement to its components, cleaned, oiled and reassembled and then phased the movement so its now running to within around 1-1.1/2 seconds a day.
This one is humming along beautifully! Yes that's right it has an audible hum to it and one of the smoothest sweep second hands you will ever see.  Beating at around 300 beats per second thanks to its index wheel system, a remarkable small wheel 2.35mm in diameter with over 300 teeth on it!
I have cleaned the bracelet and case and lightly polished where necessary to bring back its shine. A new genuine Citizen crystal has been fitted to complete the look.
Please note that there is no spare links and this is on the last adjustment hole on the clasp to fit my 7" /18cm wrist.  I can supply with a bracelet extender if needed, you can see those listed separately on the site.
This is a rare opportunity to own one of these watches.  Hisonic was mainly a JDM product only and they are not found all that often or in good condition outside of Japan.
A very classy looking watch indeed.
A new 344 battery has been fitted.  They don't last all that long in these, 8-12 months maybe.  New ones are readily available and please note that the positive side is fitted downwards which is typical on these but unusual for normal battery operated watches. It is easily overlooked and as a result if its installed the wrong way it simply won't run!
